Dear fellow alumni,

The Economist is conducting a survey for their 23rd edition of “Which MBA?” to be published in autumn 2011. Let’s participate to spread the word that our MBA has value and potential!

A key element in this survey is the alumni questionnaire to be completed by you, our recent alumni (over the last three years). It should take a mere 10 minutes.

Without a 100% participation rate it will be difficult to qualify for the ranking as our small class size leaves us at a disadvantage compared to bigger schools. As you know this really is key in increasing the value of your degree!

Thanks for your input,

The ENPC MBA alumni association has set out to strengthen our alumni network, develop alumni support worldwide and contibute to the enhancement of both ENPC MBA and the Ecole des Ponts brand image.
As for 2010/2011, the association will endeavour to launch actions, create events and build a community so as to keep aligned with these objectives.
One of the major challenge facing us is to prepare and succeed in organizing the 25th anniversary of the ENPC MBA, scheduled in Paris next July 2012. This project will require our enthusiasm and mobilize our energy. We will keep you regularly informed of the progress, either on this blog or at our regular “Last Tuesday event”.

I look forward to seeing you very soon,

Rémi DEMANGE (execMBA 2009)

Dear fellow Alumni,

The ENPC MBA staff and the Alumni association of the ENPC MBA welcomed the new Executive MBA cohort last month with a  « Galette des Rois » evening.  It was a pleasure to meet and network with one more very international group. We reassured them, as I am sure you would, that as they endeavor a few too many sleep depraved nights, those hardships will bring reward and a grand sense of accomplishment.  Anything else we should add?   In any case, we wish them all the best of luck!

The MBA Alumni and Temple University jointly organized on September 9th a networking event to welcome  the new cohort and

bring together alumni presently in Paris from the sister schools. Alumni from Paris, Casablanca and Temple were numerous as we gathered at the Maison des Ponts.

Thanks go out to Dean Jelassi, Donald Kirkwood, and Rebecca Beeman for their presence and presentations. We would also like to thank Mounir Beltaifa and Bridgers One for sponsoring this event.

The Espace 56 at the Tour Montparnasse hosted the graduation ceremony July 2nd. The full-time MBA 2010, the Executive MBA 2008-2010 and several students from the sister programs of Abu Dhabi University and Casablanca ESTP received their well earned diplomas while overlooking the cityscape of Paris.

We want to thank Mister Pelata, Operation Director of Renault, sponsor of this event, for his participation in the ceremony. A kind thought for our classmates from Temple who were in Asia and couldn’t join us.

Special thanks to the MBA Staff for the organization of this event and the work done together all year long.

Dear fellow Alumni,
May the dawning of this New Year open new horizons, fill your hearts with fresh hopes and bring the promise of brighter tomorrows! The members of the ENPC MBA Alumni Association wish you happiness and prosperity for 2011 !
As the New Year begins many of us take the opportunity to evaluate our progress, revise our goals and reach for new challenges. The ENPC MBA alumni association is no exception. A big challenge for us this year will be to work with the school in the planning and organization of the 25th anniversary of the ENPC International School of Business in 2012.
Bringing our worldly alumni from all cohorts together, it will be the opportunity to reunite classmates, celebrate accomplishments, meet fellow alumni and visit Paris once again! We aim to invite you all to the graduation ceremony for the class of 2012 followed by a weekend of conferences, cocktails and a grand gala. Keep this in mind for your 2012 summer holidays!
Best wishes,
The AAENPC MBA team

The 150th anniversary of Ponts Alliance took place yesterday in the Maison des Ponts (Paris, 11th, where our ENPC MBA is located too).

It was attended by almost 180 persons – in spite of the awful weather in Paris, from many different cohorts of Corps des Ponts, civil engineers, PhDs, and MBA graduates.

Fouad Awada, Ponts Alliance President, gave a word about how globalization had led the historical “Ecole Royale des Ponts et Chaussées” to open worldwide and to wider spans of excellence training, such as PhDs or MBAs. Philippe Courtier, head of Ecole des Ponts also recalled the creation of the School itself in 1747.

As a souvenir,  a bust of Jean-Rodolphe Perronet, the first Director of the “Ecole Royale des Ponts et Chaussées” has been offered by Pierre Bourrier, former President of Ponts Alliance, to stand in the Maison des Ponts and to represent the tradition from our former building Rue des Saints-Pères.

Then it was time for a nice cocktail, where alumni could meet and chat, while the talented “fanfare” the Saints Pere’s Band played tunes.

Last but not least, a “Livre d’or” has been especially published for this event, and was offered to all participants. It gathers witnesses and stories about the Ecole des Ponts alumni. As an alumni member, you can ask for your own copy by contacting Stéphane Dassé, permanent manager of the association.

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of our Alumni Association, Ponts Alliance which will be held at Maison des Ponts – 15, rue de la Fontaine au Roi, in Paris, France

Further details about the programme will be posted.

In order to get the invitation, you have to join Ponts Alliance by getting the association membership on www.ponts.org - if not already ! And if you have former class mates who are not part of the association yet, please let them know. It’ll help the association to get in touch with those “lost of sight” alumni and the anniversary will be a bigger success where everyone could get back in touch.

Hope to meet you there !
